近年来,微生物系统分类学研究迅猛发展,许多微生物的分类学地位发生变化和迁移,每年也会出现大量新的菌种分类单元。CICC在1999年版《细菌名称英解汉译词典》与2011年版《细菌名称双解及分类词典》的基础上,收集自2010年3月之后合格发表的细菌与真菌名称,参照以往的汉译规范确定中文名称,以《微生物新菌种名称英解汉译检索表》形式陆续发表,以方便广大微生物研究与应用工作者使用规范的微生物汉语名称。
